Conducting end-user seminars is one of TaPestle Rx’s methods to fulfill its vision of a world where compounding, dispensing, and administration of drugs in pharmacies are done safely and consistently and where compounding regulations are brought in line with international cGMP standards.

TaPestle Rx, a division of Esco Healthcare together with Esco Lifesciences (Thailand) Co., Ltd. conducted its 7^th leg of a series of seminars on Innovative Technology in Pharmacy Compounding and Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs last November 8, 2016 at the Hotel Grand Mercure Bangkok Fortune.

Topics discussed by TaPestle Rx Product Specialists, Vladimir Guillermo, RPh, PharmD and Ariana Anne Baluyot, RPh were The Basic Concept, International Standards, and Engineering Controls in Pharmacy Compounding as well as Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs. The seminar was attended and well received by pharmacists from different hospitals, private companies and universities in Bangkok.

On display and demo was the Streamline® Compounding Aseptic Containment Isolator (Total Exhaust) which drew much interest from the participants. The equipment is designed to provide user, product, environment, and cross-contamination protection from exposure to hazards. It is configured to operate at negative pressure and single pass airflow.
